If you remember back to December, I wrote about my obsession with Cozy Thai and how I frequent this restaurant so often all of the staff knows me, and even gave me a Christmas present! I'm still eating there about twice a week since the food seems to agree with a gal who has gestational diabetes (lots of protein and fresh veggies), and my popularity at Cozy has grown exponentially over the past several months. I am like Norm from Cheers at this point; all I'm missing is the beer.
So I was at Cozy on Friday last week (the day it snowed four inches during SPRING break!) and happened to be the only customer there for a time, due to the inclement weather. I walked in to find about six staff members huddled around the cash register chatting. When I walked in, the conversation stopped and the manager, B, and her husband sat down at my table with me and asked me all about my pregnancy. You see, B is 35 and thinking of having a baby, but is pretty nervous and not sure if she wants to try. She and her husband are cute and keep blaming each other for not wanting to have kids ("She's too afraid" or "He thinks I'm tood old"). They asked me such probing questions as:
"Can I touch your stomach?"
"How old are you?"
"Aren't you worried that you are too old to have a baby?" (my favorite!)
"Where are you delivering?"
"Did you know we deliver to ENH?"
A while later I was happily chowing down on my plate of spicy basil chicken (add broccoli) when I noticed all the staff once again gathered at the cash register, looking at me and laughing. I looked up in amusement and asked B what they were talking about.
"We just wanted to tell you that if you go into labor at our restaurant, you and your baby eat for free for the rest of your lives."
Sweet! Someone pass me the castor oil!

Too funny!! I love that they deliver to ENH. Jokes aside, there's probably a good chance you'll take advantage of that. Be sure to input Cozy's number into Joe's cellphone.
