Three Times a Charm?

Rejoicing was heard throughout the land. Gavin slept through the night for the past three nights in a row! I haven't wanted to mention it before now in case it was a one-time fluke, but the little guy has slept from about 10 p.m. - 4:30 a.m. for the past three nights (I know this doesn't seem like "through the night" unless you have kids, but mamas everywhere please rejoice with me). I'm not sure whether I should chalk this new sleep cycle up to Gavin hitting the three-month mark this week or the fact that we started wrapping him in a new type of swaddling blanket from which there is no escape. If it's the swaddle, than I highly endorse Solana Swaddle Wraps (made out of muslin from Australia and very lightweight)! Whatever the case, I hope it continues.

Yay Laura!! That is great news :) and 6 solid hours of sleep is blissful, isn't it? He also knew you needed more brain cells to start working again, what a good boy!

Hooray!! I'm so happy for you, Laura. I have a dear friend from college whose 16-month-old baby *still* doesn't sleep through the night. This adorable little girl is too much for Daddy who goes to hold her any time she cries. Knowing that she's their second, and last, baby keeps him from being able to think sanely - or maybe it's the sleep deprivation. Whatever it is, I'm so glad that YOU are getting some much needed sleep.

Yea Gavin!!

yeah! Anything over 5 hours is considered "through the night" and bliss for you. Be prepared for the "bumps in the road" when he hits developmental milestones though. Other then that, it get better and better! (Well until he stops taking naps)
