I'm Tired

I'm tired. Three hour blocks of sleep are not enough. When do babies start sleeping through the night?

You got a ways to go babe, each little one is different and Harrison didn't start sleeping through the night (7-8+ hours straight) until he turned a year. Most pediatricians say that sleeping through the night is when they sleep 5 hours in a row. Hopefully you are almost to that milestone!

But, I still find it hard to get a full night's sleep some days and Harrison is 3. I love my sleep.

Hang in there, you will start getting more rest and forget these sleep-deprived days (for the most part)!

Oh girl! Hang in there! golightly is right...every kid is different. Your body may even start to adjust a bit to the lack of sleep (for survival purposes). The fog of sleeplessness will hang over you for a time...but the day he starts sleeping even an extra 30 minutes...you'll be celebrating!

God gave mommies superhero hearing so we can hear our child at any moment. It is quite an adjustment.

It will pass before you know it and then you'll move on to other mindboggling parenting issues like, "when is he ever going to learn to pee in the potty?"

Don't be discouraged dear friend. I remember the mind bending exhaustion that can leave you a pile of weeping mess. Hang in there...you'll make it!

oh hunny, it is rough, hang in. For Anni it was around 10 months consistently. You can do it, if you need a night off recruit Joe and sleep thru one feeding (with no guilt)you need to do what you gotta do. see you soon- thanks for your call!

Just as Gavin has to learn to nap, I think his Mommy does too! Even if you just lie down at the same time and read or pray or listen to music, something to shut your body down and relax. It will help. I promise.

You know my answer to your question. I don't give birth to babies who sleep. But you also know our solution. Co-sleeping was a wonderful compromise to my children who somehow forgot to take the course on sleeping through the night in the womb.

Sleepy in Dallas!
