First Feeding...It's Not Exactly Gourmet

Gavin has been looking longingly at our food lately and sucking down milk like it's his last meal, so we thought he might be ready for something more substantial than an all-liquid diet. Enter the rice cereal. Who knew that that is actually pretty much a liquid, too?

We fed Gavin a few bites of rice cereal on Monday night and took some photos to document the occasion. He seemed to do alright and swallowed a few bites, but boy is it boring to feed a baby! I'm almost glad he didn't seem too enthused because it would have taken a full hour to feed him the tiny bowl of cereal at the rate he was going. I think I prefer nursing.

Yup, I stuck to exclusive nursing until Harrison was 7 months old. It was easier at the time and he doesn't really NEED to start solids before then.

It will get more fun as Gavin discovers different foods!
