A Day at the Shedd

We just returned from a fun day at the Shedd Aquarium downtown. Joe's parents won a behind-the-scenes tour of aquatic life at the musuem at an auction and took us, as well as our friends Pat & Jill and kids Lily, Evan, and Clara. We all enjoyed the up-close-and-personal views of the world's largest and ugliest catfish, stingrays, penguins, and sharks. The kids were bouncing off the walls with excitement! The highlight for most was seeing a dolphin at close proximity.

The festivities continue this weekend as we take a daytrip to Michigan to the birthplace of the Lola Living blog--Three Oaks, Michigan. We're going to pick up the last jam of the season and, of course, to eat dinner at Casa Tosi's! I'm such an old woman. We'll celebrate anniversary number five and drink a toast to many more to come.

I'm a bit obsessed with food, right? I'll bring you a jam sample from Froehlich's; you'll love it!
