Last week was a horribly frustrating week trying to keep my blood sugar down. Everything just seemed to fall apart and I was constantly battling with food, either eating too much or not enough of the right things and feeling pretty crappy. Well, let's be honest here. I was a sobbing mess on Sunday afternoon, deciding that the doctor was going to immediately put me on insulin the minute she saw my numbers for the week. Thankfully, that didn't happen. As bad as my numbers were, on occassion (and they weren't really that bad, just borderline), my mornings sugars improved greatly due to some new things I tried (read: eating ice cream at 10:30 at night), so I'm off the hook for now. This week has been tons better, and I'm feeling better, too. In fact, I felt so good today that I marched right over to Hot Mama and bought two sun dresses for summer. I figure if I look good I will feel better...right? That's my crazy logic, anyway. And spending money on clothes somewhat satiated my craving for vanilla cupcakes with icing, the likes of which I won't be tasting until, oh, October.

If you look good, you WILL feel better! It's a proven fact! Get a massage and facial and new shoes, too :)
