Right now, life with Gavin is all about the letter "B." He cruises around the house all day long yelling, "Ball! Balloon! Bounce! Boo! Bubbles!" I can't wait until he adds other consonants to his vocabulary, although he also enjoys saying "Wow, wow, wow" and "Dad Dad." Oh, and let us not forget, "Dog!"
Now that he's 13 months I am beginning to see my sweet-natured baby develop a mind of his own. Who knew that at this tender age a baby could yell, "No! No! Don't!" at naptime and upon diaper change? Not me. He seems to be having a rough time this week, though, with some new teeth coming in (causing severe diaper rash) and his sleep patterns changing (drats). He's fussy, whining, and crying all the time. Needless to say, these changes are leaving the whole family pretty tired.
The best thing about these days is the abundance of kisses and hugs. They may be sandwiched in-between whines, but they are pure sunshine.
