Happy Easter

It's hard to believe that last Easter I was hugely pregnant--as big as a house! I will have to post the photo of me from that day. And who let me wear a bold pattern over my big stomach??

This year is Gavin's first Easter out-of-utero, and, unfortunately, he will spend it at home with the stomach flu. Yep, the little guy has been throwing up since Tuesday night and it's now coming out the other end much to my surprise and delight. We saw the doctor this morning (thank goodness for Saturday office hours) and he recommended that we keep him home for the weekend. I know many of you will be thanking me for not bringing Gavin to the church nursery on Easter. Wouldn't that be a special gift?

So, we cancelled lunch plans with Joe's parents and will be hunkered down watching movies and playing with the boy. Oh, and Joe just called to let me know he is on his way home from work, sick, so maybe we'll actually all be in bed sleeping. Somehow, it doesn't really seem like Easter.

One thing that always works when our boys have the flu (both ends) is probiotics. I get the one from BioGaia (which I think is Everdis in the States). Five drops a day and they're usually better within a day. Just a thought...

Great suggestion, Danielle! We did give Gavin some probiotics and they seemed to help a lot.
