Wow, it's been a long time since I've changed decades. And in just 28 minutes I am leaving my 30's...a place I have comfortably resided for the past ten years. My 30's have truly been the best time of my life--so far. In my 30's I lived in Atlanta, traveled the world with my job, met life-long friends, figured out if I wanted to get married, got married, moved to Chicago, worked on building a marriage, made more life-long friends, figured out if I wanted to have a baby, had a baby, and built a family. Pretty eventful.
How things have changed from my 30th birthday when I broke up with my then-boyfriend after a disappointing birthday dinner where he complained about the cost of the meal the entire time! My 40th birthday was celebrated this past weekend with an intimate dinner party thrown by my husband and close friends. I'm glad to be at this place now and I can't wait to see what the next decade brings. Thanks to all of you for being a part of it.

Oh my gosh, I remember that breakup now that you mention it! You 30's sound very similar to my 30's. I loved my 30's. Loved them.
