It's been a crazy week. On Monday I had a root canal (well, the second part to the first one--not too bad). On Tuesday I had to run Gavin to the doctor because he was a little sickie and, indeed, had his first ear infection. Wednesday marked the demise of our furnace, complete with helicopter propeller-like noises coming from the electrical closet at 3 a.m. and waking the whole house up. That adventure cost us a cool $2,800 (nothing like working for an entire month to buy heat. But I guess it's a necessity in Chicago this winter). On Thursday, I caught Gavin's cold and more and ended up in bed a shivering quivering mess. By Friday I was just praying for an end to the week and counting down the hours until Joe would be off work on Saturday night. But there was more to come when my babysitter told me she probably has to quit watching Gavin.
So, when life sucks, what are you gonna do??
I'm going to Disneyland!! Wait, no I'm not. That sounds hellish with a 10-month-old. Let's try that again.
I'm going to Hawaii!!
Leaving for Maui in the morning with Gavs, Joe, and the in-laws. Mahalo!!

so sorry girl, Run away, run away from it all!! Just next time please consider another island...one maybe off the coast of Africa :) Have a safari njema (great trip)
That sounds WAY too fun!!! I want to go. (But I'll have to settle for Disneyland) And in defense of Disneyland and infants - Harrison has been going since he was 3 months old. It is great. Even better the Baby Station. LOVE the baby station. When it's California HOT, you can go into the cool, relaxing Baby Station and nurse - and cool down.
Disneyland is not bad at all for infants and toddlers. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Hope Hawaii is fun, fun, fun!!
Good luck on the flight. You suck.
