I went to the doctor today and we discussed last week's ultrasound findings. Dr. Herndon, while optimistic that God can do anything He wants with that fibroid, is realistically leaning toward scheduling me for a c-section. I'll know for sure at my 36 week scan, but while I was at the office I asked her if we should go ahead and just get something on the books so I have my surgery appointment scheduled (I've got to have a plan--it's in my nature!).
The long and short of it is I now have a birth date scheduled for Baby Boy, if he doesn't decide to come early! The c-section will likely occur on Wednesday, April 2, at either 7:30 or 9 a.m. I was sort of hoping for April Fool's Day (think of all the jokes I could play...), but the doctor's surgery schedule prevails.
Yikes!!

Well, honestly, that sucks that you actually HAD to schedule the C-section. But THANK GOD that C-sections exist for situations like this. As a person who has had a c-section and given birth vaginally, they are both amazing experiences. Just let us visit you and Baby McG in the hospital - that's the worst part of a c-section -- waiting around to get the flock out of there.
Hang in there gal and keep me posted!
