But When Do You Stop Throwing Up?

Not to keep bringing up my pregnancy--sorry, it's just going to be my primary topic of conversation for the next six months--but when do you stop throwing up? Granted, I've so far suffered primarily with nauseau, with little heaving involved, but today I experienced the textbook pregnancy sick session. Wake up, drink some juice (not good on an empty stomach as I found out), do some computer work, get dressed, and...wait! I think I'm going to throw up now! Finish getting dressed and go eat pancakes and sausage with my husband, just like it never even happened. Hormones are so weird.

Poor thing! Of course you're thowing up. Everything smells rot aweful! Work what works! Citrus worked for me during one pregnancy and I sent Rob to the store for anything orange. He brought home oranges, orange sherbet, orange tic tacs, chewable vitamin c tablets and orange juice. Go Joe!

Is it me or are you late to the table with the nausea? It may subside around 15 weeks (unless you're there already). Hang in there little mama!

Keep crackers by your bed and eat a couple when you wake up BEFORE you drink anything.
I had nausea all through the first trimester and then it started to subside. (Thank God, because SOME people have it through out the pregnancy!) But not until after I got sick at around 15 or 16 weeks (which was VERY upsetting because I thought I had finished with all nausea...) So anyway, there I was sitting on the sofa one morning, pregnant into my second trimester when, hmm, something doesn't feel right today. Try an apple. Yah, an apple makes you feel better, right? Not in my case - ate part of the apple and BAM! Let's just say I made it to the bathroom in the nick of time. I tearfully called Ken at work to announce that I had thrown up. Just what he wanted to know.

Yes, it will get better.

Thanks for the encouragement, ladies. Yes, it's true that I just had nauseau while in the car during weeks 8 - 11, but after that trip to NYC, I had a few late-to-the-game sick sessions. I thought I was going to be lucky enough to skip that part of pregnancy. Oh well...
